Opening pictures in a new window

  As a newbie to wordpress blogs, how can I fix it so that any pictures posted on my blog can be clicked on when the post is published and then the picture opens in a new window and bigger??

  After uploading the image, but before inserting it into the post, click the “file URL” button and then insert it into the post. After it is inserted, click on the image to highlight it, click on the edit image icon at the upper left and at the bottom of that window, click on the “Target Open link in a new window” button and then click “update.”
