Opens in reader instead of dashboard
-
When I log in to my graphicanthropology site it only opens in the reader of the other site, I click on My site and I get a blank page. I then have to alter the URL to get to the actual page of that site, then to the dashboard, then have to switch sites again to get to my dashboard. Also, the like and comment highlight button at the top right no longer works, if I click on that I get a blank page also.
Your assitance would be greatly appreciated as I have new work I have been unable to load. The add media button does not work either.
Thank youThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m not sure what ‘other site’ you are referring to but I would save both sites in your ‘toolbar / favorites’ section as separate links.. site1.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ then ‘site 2’..wp-admin. As I always go straight there, whether I am logging in ‘again’ or not.. (not just ‘wordpress.com’..)
For the rest.. it sounds like a browser issue to me, with like/comment/adding media.. have you tried a different browser since it became a problem?

I have one log in. Its always been the same. It used to open into my dashboard, now it opens into the wordpress reader. I then have to search my sites, then it opens a blank page, but the url is now my site name and text after it ( ?sb ) I haven’t changed how I log in, its wordpress that has changed what or where the log in opens to.
I have not tried a different browser yet. I’m using a mac OS X. It will not update anymore, and the browsers will not update either. It seems the continuous updates on have pushed me out of using wordpress at all. -
@graphicanthropology
The Admin login link for http://graphicanthropology.wordpress.com/ is http://graphicanthropology.wordpress.com//wp-admin/ That is the link to your dashboard there.Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.
Clicking this link should display all blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibilityIf the log-in information is lost visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If you are not successful, then please complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access.

@afreestyler
It is best for all if you do not attempt to answer questions that you are not convinced based on tag search and search engine searches of earlier correct responses is an accurate reply. Please leave any threads you are not convinced you have a correct answer for to the rest of use more experienced Volunteers. The last thing we ie. experienced Volunteers want to do is ghost every one of the threads answered by every new eager beaver Volunteers comments in and correct them where required. As Staff do not monitor every thread on the board that’s the unenviable position experienced Volunteers are in. Though anyone can answer any thread and we are advised to be nice and friendly the bottom line is that bloggers who post here expect and deserve correct answers delivered expeditiously. Providing wrong answers or half baked answers simply delays the blogger form getting the help they need when they need it. Hence it’s is better to pass up answering any thread unless you are convinced your answer is a correct one. -
P.S. I’ am visually challenged and having a bad vision day today. I apologize for the grammar errors and typos above.

(?) It seemed to be a simple enough ‘login’ situation.. glad I checked back, but ‘sped read’ your comment tt. and I am not some ‘eager beaver’.
