Opera and the wp.com blue band
-
I’ve been playing around with Opera today. When I visit changingway.org, I don’t see wp.com blue band at the top. I do see it when I visit other pages of that blog, and I do see it when I visit other people’s wp.com blogs.
? Any ideas why I don’t see the band on that specific page?
? What is the official name for the blue band?
? Any comments on Opera, with WordPress, or in general?
I’ve tried searching FAQ and forums for answers, but to no avail. -
Can I name it Corky? :)
I think we’re calling it the admin bar. I notice that it’s not there the first time I look at my site. It usually reappears with a reload of the page though in netscape. I don’t even have to do the forced bit with teh ctrl key.
No issues that I’m aware of with Opera.

I have no issues with Opera and wordpress.com, just Safari and the “visual editor”. Not really a problem for me when there is Firefox….

Thanks for the fast responses, guys. Mike, Admin Bar sounds familar, although Corky, Al, or Mr Earl would be more fun names.
Trent, I usually use Firefox, but am considering getting a Nokia N800, which runs Opera. -
For sure andrew! I just was saying that I use firefox when I want to use the visual editor, but Opera seems fine all around!

Hmmm, Corky and Angie. We’re getting a right bunch round here aren’t we!
For the record, I had no end of trouble with Opera and various websites that just wouldn’t play nice.
I switched back to Firefox when they went Gold with 2.0 and haven’t looked back since. :)

my guess this issue with the ‘wpcombar’ is somehow related to the custom mapped domain your blog is on.
a few days ago I couldn’t see *any* page of your blog (till I switched off javascript and ‘automatic redirection’ for your blog base URL) being constantly redirected to the
http://changingway.org/remote-login.php?login= <some key not revealed>and getting a cryptic error message which told me something about a ‘wrong key’ I had.
