Opera is a little “iffy” with wordpress.com. Of all the browsers, Firefox works best with the dashboard and admin features.

If it has worked before for you then try logging out, clearing your browser cache and cookies and then logging back in.

    hello crovidz,

I can see your blog is currently using the default wordpress (“state-of-the-art semantic publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability”) theme called Kubrick (aka BBH).

Kubrick, just as well as all its numerous clones (including all those installed on .com), is notorious for having multiple cross-browser incompatibility issues.

the non-clickable ‘Older / Newer Entries ‘ links at the bottom of Kubrick page is known as exactly one of these issues said; this one caused by the peculiar style rules applied to the links in question. so, it’s not “opera browser problem” — it’s wordpress.com Kubrick’s one.

if you’d like to stay on .com and continue to use Kubrick, then you should probably ‘Contact Support’ (also for the benefit of all other .com users).

however, granted there are chances getting a response suggesting you to use another browser*, and neither I wouldn’t bet against your request will be met with “It’s working as I expected“, or not answered at all even, I think your best bet would be shell out $15/year for the ‘Custom CSS’ upgrade and fix this issue yourself.

    .
*) also to change: ISP, OS, mouse pad, upgrade hardware up to that beefy enough etc, as it happens quite often when it’s about other WP components that have cross-browser incompatibility or other kinds of issues: visual editor (aka TinyMCE), widgets, image uploading and such.
