oppting out of gravatar

    I am so sorry but everytime I try to load a pic to my avatar it takes me to gravatar. gravatar is a universal avatar thingy – THAT IS STUPID. Its right up there with google and youtube being one account. STUPID sorry but WTH. I want a wp account thats it

    Where are you trying to upload your picture? If you do it at https://wordpress.com/me you should be able to do it there directly without being redirected to Gravatar.

    As for opting out of Gravatar, that’s not possible. Gravatar and WordPress.com accounts have always been the one and the same and there aren’t any plans to separate the two.
