  How do I add an opt in form from mailchimp…so I can create an email list?

  Hi there. It’s not possible to embed MailChimp form on WordPress.com. All you can do is to place a link to your MailChimp page on your site.

  There is a workaround that will make it look like you have the form embedded, but will send visitors to the MailChimp page if they click on it. See this thread: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/mail-chimp-signup-form-embed-code-doesnt-work?replies=5
