Optimum image size for uploading

    What’s the optimum image size settings for uploading pics from my PC to my WordPress site?

    I use Lightroom for processing my RAW images and tend to export as jpgs resized to 900 pixels on the long edge. This works OK for pics in portrait format, but not to much for those in portrait.

    Would be good to know best practice for getting a good balance of image quality and file size.
