Option to auto post comments?

  Is there a way to auto post comments on your blog aka turn off the comment moderation feature? Scoured the support pages but didn’t see anything. Thank you,

  Yes, you can allow anonymous comments by changing the settings on this page > Settings > Discussion

  Comment author must fill out name and e-mail – When this setting is on, anyone leaving a comment will be forced to leave a name and a valid email address. If the setting is off, visitors can leave anonymous comments. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/

  Do I advise doing that? Never! Did you know that over 80% of all comments submitted to the WordPress.com domain are spam?

  I have received well over 1,000 spam comments. I do not know what is going on, but it seems like someone changed my password and I cannot even access the account to change the settings.

  Any idea how to send an actual e-mail to WordPress Support? I really need help to resolve this issue.

  Yes. I have another account. However, WP bends over backward to not provide information to allow users to contact them directly. Since I cannot no longer access my account, I could not get to the support feature. Therefore, I had to open a new account so that I would be able to correspond with someone about how to access my account and clean up all the comments.

  That is not a WordPress.COM blog; it’s a WordPress.ORG site, and thus you’ll have to go over to their forums for support. Our blogs here work differently.

  And there IS no staff support as such for WordPress.org blogs.

  For wordpress.ORG installations, there is only the wordpress.org forums.
