Option to block offsite framing

It seems that several popular web sites (Digg, Facebook, etc) have started using frames to send their visitors offsite instead of just linking to them normally. This screws up bookmarking, search engine rank, lets them run advertising against our content and is just generally evil.
I know we can’t add javascript or php to our pages, so could we have an optional feature for our blogs that will add a js or php script that checks if the page has been loaded from inside a frame and, if so, to force it to reload without the frame? I can’t run advertising on my blog and wouldn’t if I could, so there is no reason why Digg or Facebook should be able to do it.

I think your points are valid, and I too would not want what you have to occur. I would suggest that you also send your concerns to staff directly at http://support.wordpress.com/contact/ so that they can log this into the request database and perhaps decide to do something about it.

A lot of scrapers use frames too so they can plant ads.
The other side of the coin is google images shows image search results in a frame and some bloggers (I’m not one of them) like the hits they get from image searches.
