Option to disable email for certain posts?

  I have a few subscribers but there are some blog posts that I would prefer not to be emailed out. Is there a way to disable this option for some posts and not others?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  No that’s not possible unless you make the posts private.

  Can you tell me the difference between private and password protected?

  Private means only YOU can see them. Password protected means anyone who has the password, plus all editors and admins, can see the post.
