Hi, I recently have started my own E-Commerce store on Shopify and have come to the realization many do that it is quite an expensive platform so I have decided to have a go at building my own website, centered around my Dropshipping business (soon to be officially registered in the UK within the next 2 weeks) I am curious as to the options you provide regarding my domain name and the transfer option or to remain with my current provider?
What benefits do either option provide?
I am new to the E-Commerce world so any beneficial advice would be received with much gratitude!Kind regards

Hi there,
On WordPress.com you have two options when it comes to domains. You can either keep your domain with your current registrar and point your domain here (domain mapping) or transfer your domain to us. You can read more about those options here:

Also, to be able to host your e-commerce site with us you’ll need to upgrade to the Business or eCommerce plan. Those plans come with the ability to install plugins like the popular e-commerce plugin called WooCommerce.
