  Can someone with a WordPress .com account use WordPress.org?

  Hello there,

  Yes this is possible, but the two are considered to be separate entities.

  To use WordPress.org would be to use self-hosted WordPress, whereby you would download the WordPress software from WordPress.org > source a hosting provider (Bluehost, GoDaddy…etc) and the create a site.
