Options for "Contact Us"?
-
I have many “pages” (not “posts”) that I don’t allow commenting on. It was just brought to my attention that it’s very difficult for visitors to figure out how to contact me about the content on those pages.
I would like to provide generic “Contact Me” functionality (simple email) and am wondering what the best to do this is. I know that I can just post an email address into the “text” widget easily enough but I figured I’d ask and make sure that I’m not missing something obvious.
What would be really nice is some method of abstracting my email address away, allowing people to contact me (through a web form for example) without having to make my email address public. (Similar, in fact, to this very frum submission page.) The available “author” widgets are (in my opinion) too complicated and clunky for this.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Create a page first and WordPress.com provides a contact form for exactly this purpose. It’s a great way to offer your readers the ability to get in touch, without giving out your personal email address.

Absolutely perfect – exactly what I was hoping for!
Thanks for the effort and the references!

If it wasn’t clear from the Support doc tt pointed to, whatever email address you’ve provided WordPress.com with as the Admin email address for your site will be the one used for sending you the feedback email, unless you’ve set the contact form up to send it to a different email address. See here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/#notification-preferences
Should you choose to reply, of course, your email address will be exposed. Many of us have set up a separate email address for this purpose and you may want to consider doing so.

Zašto ograničavate teme i ne dopuštate da ljudi komuniciraju jedni s drugima bez nadzora i limita. Ne razumijem.
