Orange box appearing when hovering over featured image?

  Hello!

  I’ve not long finished setting up and testing out my blog – just noticed that when I hover the mouse over any of the featured images, an orange box appears.

  Is there any way to disable this whilst still being on the free plan?

  If you are referring to a pop-up instructing you about this or that I believe there is a dismiss link you can click so it stops appearing. If there is no dismiss link or clicking it does not work, type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help.   Nope, there’s no dismiss link! It’s an orange box that appears inside my featured image (with a cross in the middle) when I’m hovering over it.

  I did some research into it before posting on here, there seems to be ways around it by alerting the CSS, but as I’m on a free account that’s not possible.

  Oh okay. Do you know if there’s any way of disabling it though?

  I don’t mind that it’s there, it just looks a little odd.

  You could probably adjust that with some Custom CSS if you had WordPress.com Premium and the Custom Design upgrade.

  You could ask in the CSS forum if you wanted to research a bit more before you purchased an upgrade.
