Order of blog posts

I have just added my second blog post to my site. When I looked at the site the first post that comes up is not the newest one. I thought the posts were supposed to come up with the newest by default. How can I make sure that mine does?

We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
(1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. As you are referring to a site that is not hosted here, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

Thank you for all that information. My site is hosted by SiteGround but operates with WordPress.com not org. SiteGround are recommended by WordPress.com and I log in with a WordPress.com log in and password so I’m now very confused.

Hi @wordsmom, while you can use the WordPress.com interface to manage your site, these forums are generally for the sites hosted here, or for services WordPress.com provides.
You quite possibly have just marked a post as “sticky” or otherwise featured it. If you need more help, try the support forums at https://wordpress.org/support
