Order of fields on the contact form

  I used the contact form, and saved it from the “form builder”.

  Then, in the page editor, I moved the fields around, using cut and paste.

  The form looks fine, but in the confirmation displayed to the user and in the email send to the form admin, the order isn’t what appears on the screen: The name, email, website and comments fields seem to be stuck to the top of the response.

  Is there any way to change this?

  I had the same problem and was advised to contact WP staff. Here’s the reply I received:

  Thanks for reporting this. That appears to be a glitch on our end, where the default fields in the contact form appear at the top of the emails you receive regardless of the order on the page.

  I can pass this information along to our team, though I cannot guarantee when/if this will be fixed. As an alternative, the responses sent via your contact form can also be access via your Dashboard -> Feedback page and will be displayed in the proper order.
