Order of Posts
-
When I post the oldest one stays at the top, the newest one at the bottom. On other blogging software that I’ve used it’s been the other way round, can anyone let me know how I go about changing it on WordPress?
Thank you ! -
A blog always has the most recent post on top.
But this can be reversed if you want a book format http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/11/04/how-to-write-a-book/P.S. Which other “blogging” software are you referring to?

I have the same problem. Timethief says “A blog always has the most recent post on top”, but it mine doesn’t. You have to scroll to the bottom to see the most recent posts. See http://jacobsonchiropractic.net/forum/ . I’m using the Connections theme. Thanks for your help.

the page you link to is a page of comments, not blog posts. Comments go in older->newer order so that people can follow the thread of a conversation
-
OK, that makes sense.
Now how do I change the page of comments into a page of blog posts so the order is reversed? -
I think I see the problem, but could someone who knows more please check me?
I want visitors to be able to create a conversation that is in reverse chronological order. I think this is impossible because visitors can only comment (not post) and the order of comments cannot be changed.
So while my posts are in reverse chronological order, any visitor input is always chronological, and there is no way to change it. Is this right? or is there a work-around?
Thanks
Lukeref for order of comments can’t be changed:

You can do it with regular wordpress hosted within your own webspace and some work but not with what we have here. Some folks also wouldn’t call that a blog but a CMS. You may have better luck with a CMS like phpnuke if you want to try that.

That’s exactly what I wanted to know! I didn’t understand that comments (from all users) and posts (only from me) were very different classes.
Thanks!
