order of posts on tag page

  I was just surfing tag pages and noticed that some older posts were shown before of some newer posts.
  I always assumed the tag pages were in chronological order? What determines the order of the posts?

  They generally are in chronological order. Please give us some specific examples with links so we can check out possible factors. Have you made any of those older posts Sticky?

  Wasn’t my post. I noticed it on tag/monterey yesterday.

  The last two posts on that page are 5 days old while others higher up are a month old.

  The posts on http://wordpress.com/tag/ pages are generally in chronological order but not strictly so. There’s a little bit of secret sauce in there to help keep more interesting posts towards the top.
