Order of slideshow images from the homepage
-
Hi, I’m using the Nowell theme which I love, so thank you first of all. My concern is with trying to understand how to adjust the order of the Nowell theme slideshow images, specifically from the homepage (which I have set up as the Hero frontpage) you can see at https://bakedcheesehaus.com/ I really just need to know how to set the first image, the order is not making sense on where I can specify 1st second third etc on the slideshow.
Please help and cheers to your fine WordPress work!

Hi,
It probably displays them in reverse chronological order, according to published dates. I can’t test the theme without buying it.

Premium themes have their own support forums. Here’s a link to the Nowell Premium Theme Support forum: https://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/nowell. I think there’ll be an option to start a new topic at the bottom of the page.

@fattymattybrewing Just adding that it’s also worthwhile flipping over to the Support tab in the Theme’s showcase page to see if it provides any additional set up information https://wordpress.com/themes/nowell/support/ In this case, I didn’t find anything specific to what you’ve asked, so as @musicdoc1 said, best to ask in the premium theme forum.

Hi Matt,
I can confirm that Nowell displays the most recently tagged post/page first in the slider and then continues to display the rest in reverse chronological order. You can therefore control the ordering by changing the date in post/page editor.
Let us know if you have any further questions on that!

@siobhyb – @justjennifer – @musicdoc1- you are all so helpful! Yes, thanks to you awesome folks, I’ve uncovered the fix. Yes, I was able to use the post editor on the pages and update the publish dates to force the slides’ order in the feature slideshow to do my bidding! ~Cheers
