Ordering categories with spaces

  I’ve been using a theme where the categories are ordered alphabetically, so to get them in the order I wanted I put spaces before the ones that should be higher up the list, eg. ” Category 1″. Now, if I try to add a new category with the spaces before the name the spaces are automatically deleted and the category ends up at the bottom. Does anyone know why?

  Whitespace is stripped from around category names unfortunately. You could add numbers to your categories if you wanted to order them.
