org or com? which is better hosted thru HostGator?

    I already have an HG account.
    What is the difference/advantage between installing a WP .org or .com to it?
    What is the advantage of HG being the host?
    What is there a difference between domain names gotten thru WP/blogs, and HG/go-daddy etc?
