Organize recent posts in cluster format within a category
-
On the “home” page of this blog it shows all my recent posts in a “cluster” format. I want to have the same “cluster” for all the posts within each category.
If I for example select the category “Traveling alone or in a group” and then the sub-category “Traveling alone”, it shows my recent posts above each other. However, I want them to be organized in clusters – just like on my “home” page. How can I do that? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Revelar doesn’t display posts in a grid layout on category pages by default, and there isn’t a built-in way to change this. If you really like the grid layout then you could consider switching to a theme that supports it on category pages by default. As a starting point, I recommend filtering for free themes in our repository that display posts in a grid via the following link:
https://wordpress.com/themes/free/filter/grid-layout
Baskerville 2 and Rowling are two nice options. Posts for both those themes are displayed in a grid layout on both the home and category pages.
Hope that’s helpful! Let me know if you have any extra questions.

Yes, thank you so much! I now changed the theme to Argent and I really like it, however it doesn’t display all the categories. It shows all the parent categories and all the child categories, but the grandchild categories are only shown when I enlarge my window (so that the website has more space on my laptop, if that makes sense). It doesn’t bother me too much, but is it possible to either move the menu (so the top level categories) from the middle to the left, or to have the sub-categories “open” onto the left-hand instead of the right-hand side?

Hi there,
I’m glad you like Argent! :)
There isn’t any built in way to change the positioning of the grand-child menu items. As a workaround, you could consider moving the “My Travels” menu item further to the left in your menu so that the child and grand-child items can always be accessed.
If you don’t want to move the positioning of the menus then you could consider upgrading to WordPress.com Premium or Business. The option of adding custom CSS is available with both of those plans, which would enable you to change the way the child and grand-child menu items look.
