I understand these are completely separate. But I can’t log in to wordpress.org to access the support forums, because it rejects me, and I’m rejected because
    1) “my username is already taken”
    and
    2) “my email address” is already taken

I don’t understand what I’m supposed to do.
    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Since it’s saying both your username and email are taken it sounds like you do’t have to register but go straight to the log in step. If you can’t log in with your email, I would try doing a password reset if possible.

I tried doing a pw reset, and nothing arrives in my email. It’s weird, I can log in to my site dashboard (ie the /wp-admin login), but if I want to post to the support forums there at .org, I have to go through another login asking for my UN and PW.

The log in to your site dashboard at /wp-admin is actually separate as well, that’s just your personal log in to your own website on your server.

The username and password for your WordPress.org account isn’t actually linked to your site and may be different especially if you are using your email.

One other thing to check, the reset emails do occasionally get put in your spam folder so take a peek in there if haven’t checked yet.

Checked spam folder, nothing in there. I don’t think I even HAVE an account registered with .org, hence the reason no email shows up for a PW. Yet it won’t let me register an account at the same time, because of reasons mentioned in my first post.

Im ok with registering a different UN, though not so for my EMAIL, since it is my primary email I use.
Still in a gridlock of sorts..
