Original Admin is no longer

  I am trying to remove the original admin, Erin Boykin, to Admin1. We don’t want to delete the site, but we prefer for her not to try and delete it either,

  Is Erin the person who registered the site on WordPressdotcom and is, therefore, its owner? No other Admin can remove the site owner or downgrade the site owner’s role. https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

  The only way this can happen is if the original site owner transfers ownership of the site to another Admin. More here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

  Hi there,

  Erin is the creator and owner of the site, so unless she chooses to relinquish ownership, she’ll continue to have admin privileges. If she is interested in transferring over ownership, you can either follow the instructions on the support document @JenT provided or have her post in this thread confirming she wants to transfer the site over to another user. We can assist with the transfer at that point.
