Original posts are searchable on Google but last two are not.

I’ve spent hours trying to figure this out. My first two posts are searchable on Google; my last two post are not. I have changed my menu since the first two posts. I am using Firefox. Isletoisle.wordpress.com/
What am I doing wrong? I just can’t figure this out. Thanks, Cindy Powell

Your blog is indexed by Google (15 results).
Your blog is indexed by Bing (1 result).
I’m sorry but we can’t help you with search engine issues like this one. -

You have a 6 day old blog with 4 Posts – it can easily take a week or two for a new Post to be indexed on a new blog

I’ve never found Google to take that long. And if it did, time sensitive material would never be found. What would be the point? Usually it is within hours. and that was the case before I started changing the menu. Which is why I think it has something to do with the menu/category structure I reconfigured. But I can’t figure it out. I’m not clear yet on the ways in which all of that fits together. Something triggered a difference though.

Immediately after you publish or delete a page or post, your WordPress.com blog sends a ping to Google, Bing, Yahoo! and Ask. These immediate notifications help the major search engines receive your new content as quickly as possible (often within seconds) so your blog can show up in search results faster. WordPress.com sends sitemap update notifications to major search engines every time your site content changes. Each post edit or approved comment results in a new notification. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/02/15/new-content-wordpress-com-pings-for-you/

In the other thread you changed URL’s so you are starting over at zero with that URL.
Search engines use many criteria for speed of indexing, size of web site, how much traffic, how much new material each day (a newspaper has new material in some cases many times an hour – their content will be indexed much faster withing minutes) – age of the web site (new sites get indexed slower)
If you had an old site with a lot of content that had been around it would probably have been indexed much quicker than a new site
I have a couple of sites – one site is read and indexed quickly – the other is read quickly but indexed slow (takes around a week for a new entry to be fully indexed)
