Original Username showing up in Facebook post preview

  When sharing my blog site on Facebook, the preview comes up and has my original username in it. When I signed up for the blog I did not realize my username would be public. I’ve tried changing things in account settings and profile. My new username is not showing up in the preview, still the old. I’ve tried disconnecting from Facebook on both sides, deleting cookies, restarting computer. When I went to share my blog on Facebook without being connected to my blog, the old username still showed up. I do not want this username to be public.

  Hi, you’re thinking of the right thing with cache, but it’s actually most likely the cache on Facebook’s end that’s still showing the older username. That should update soon, and the correct name will show on new posts from here on out.
