original website has been taken by a Japanese company

    Hello,

    I have been away from my blog for about a year, and my original website name (my name with dot com after it) has been taken.

    Is there a way to fix this? When I click ‘Home’ on my blog, it takes me to the Japanese website.

    Hi there,

    I take it that domain squatters purchase the domain so that you would have to contact them and they would attempt to sell the domain back to you for a ridiculous amount of money. The domain expires next April, so there is a possibility that they will not renew it and you can let it expire, or they will try to reach out to you and sell the domain. I would recommend registering a different domain at this point.
