Orphan Admin User Accounts to be disconnected from our site and deleted for good
-
Hello,
Our site name is anderbaher.in and currently website has two admin users…
- @techanderbahercom ((email visible only to moderators and staff))
- @vinitsankhe ((email visible only to moderators and staff))
But last week the site had two more admin users (email addresses below)
- (email visible only to moderators and staff)
- (email visible only to moderators and staff)
We had to reset the site a few days back due to some CSS corruption. Since then above two users i.e.
- (email visible only to moderators and staff)
- (email visible only to moderators and staff)
do not appear in our user team list. We cannot add or delete them from the list. Their accounts have essentially gone orphan but they are still connected to anderbaher.in because we can see that they can still access anderbaher.in/wp_admin portal and still have admin access there.
We want to delete their account and disconnect them from our site (anderbaher.in). When we seek help about this on Google, on most places they recommend that these orphan users need to *delete* the site from their own anderbaher.in/wp_admin admin account.
But this step looks dicey. Remember they are still in their Amin role, we fear if they delete the site then they may delete the entire anderbaher.in site *for all of us*. So we don’t want to take that chance.
How can we safely disconnect and delete their accounts from anderbaher.in so that the site is NOT impacted?
