orphan posts
-
We just changed themes and this pointed out that we don’t have a “home” page per se. All the posts you see when you go to the blog are on a page that isn’t named,so if you to another page you can’t get to what we think of as the home page except by backspacing.. I tried making a home page but I can’t figure out how to move all the posts to that page. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks, Maggie
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You created a “welcome” page and the tab for that page is named “home.”
Are you using a custom menu?

You don’t have to “move your posts” anywhere. This is your home page:
http://larrywayneclark.wordpress.com/What you mean is that the new theme didn’t have a Home link in its top nav menu. Two ways to create that:
1) Edit the “Home” page you created and change its slug to this:
index-php
If you’re not sure what the slug is, see here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-title-url/2) Delete that page and create a custom menu instead:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/(Click the cross to create the menu, give it a name, click View All in the Pages module to reveal the built-in Home link, select them all, add to menu, save menu, select menu from the Theme locations pulldown, save.)

I can’t figure this out but thanks for the help anyway. It wasn’t an issue in the previous theme so I may just go back to it.
