Hi, were you able to resolve this already? I see large images on your site. If you’re not seeing those, can you get a screenshot of what you’re seeing? We’d be happy to take a look.
Here’s how to make a screenshot; more context is better so try not to crop it too tight:
https://wordpress.com/support/make-a-screenshot/And you can upload it here on the affected site: https://wordpress.com/media
You might also take a look to see if you see the same issue in another browser. Let us know what you find.

Hello,
Yes after clicking visitors see large images.
I would like to have the default images on https://eupalinosugajin.wordpress.com/blog/ the same size (or larger if one can remove the sidebar) as the ones on the Orvis demo. Here is what I mean: https://i.imgur.com/6P0A4M6.png
Might be simple but missed the setting to do this is there is one :)
Thank you

Hi there,
The most recent post that you made has the same height as the images from the demo. The difference between your post and the one in the demo is that the demo is using the Classic Block and is inserting images from within that Block.
Feel free to try that and let me know if that works for you.
Thanks!

Hello,
Thanks I tested adding a classic block + inserting the image under the first image (standard block) and the result is what I am looking for > larger images on this page: https://eupalinosugajin.wordpress.com/blog/
But when I try to remove the first image (standard block) it goes back to showing a smaller image.
What could I try to keep larger images ? (on this blog page not individual posts)
Thank you

Hi @eupalinosugajin, I see now — my screen wasn’t wide enough to notice that effect.
All of the posts at https://eupalinosugajin.wordpress.com/blog/ use the classic block for all of the content, not just the images. Can you try that to see if it helps?

Hello,
I tried to convert everything to classic blocks, but it does not work (the images remain less wide)
For the moment, the only way I found (what I posted before) to get wider images is by first posting them using a standard block and then adding the same image but using a classic block (current state of the “One day” post) Of course this has no use as the same image is shown twice.
Is there anything else I could try ? Of course, visitors can click to have big images in the attachment page, but I would rather have images as large as possible by default on the blog page.
Thanks for your help

Hi, have you tried creating the post in one big classic block rather than having multiple classic blocks in a single post? That’s how that site is set up.
-
Hello,
Not sure to understand ? There is one classic block for each post at the moment (except for the “One day” post which I use as a test and showing twice the same image)
Is there something to try in the page named “blog” itself, which receives the blog posts ? (I tried a bit with no result either)
Feel free to test things if you have access to this website from the admin side.
Thank you

Very strange.
Can you try this, even just as a test post?
1) Create a test post
2) Add a large image as the featured image
3) Just use normal paragraph blocks in the content area. Publish it, and update us here.

Hello,
This works to get a large image (924 pixels) on the blog page. But such a featured image can’t be opened further in an attachment page or media file to see it at full size.
This 924 pixels width might be ok if no other solution works.Thank you
-
Hi @eupalinosugajin,
Referring to the Orvis theme documentation, the recommended featured image size is
924pxwide. In this case, I recommend that all your featured images are at minimum this width.
