Orvis theme – portfolio front page

    Hello,

    I’m having problems setting up the Orvis theme:

    1. Displaying the portfolios as the home page. I’ve followed to the best I can the steps outlined on previous threads that address the same problem (set up portfolio, set up a ‘portfolio page’ and assign portfolio template, set static home page to ‘portfolio’) but the site doesn’t seem to be displaying it.

    2. Displaying the top-level menu in the top right hand corner

    I’d really appreciate any help on where I’m going wrong and how to fix it!

    Hi organisingdifference,

    set up a ‘portfolio page’ and assign portfolio template, set static home page to ‘portfolio’) but the site doesn’t seem to be displaying it

    You have made this change correctly in the Customiser but it is not yet published so please try the following:

    1. Go to My Sites > Customise > Homepage Settings
    2. Click the cog icon
    3. Select “Publish”
    4. Click the publish button

    If I go to My Sites > Customise > Menus I can see several links added to the menu (at the top right) but they are also saved as a draft change. You’ll want to follow the same steps above in order for the menu to appear.
