Orvis theme portfolio home page not showing text

    I’m using the portfolio as a home page (with the option under page templates). The problem is that I can’t get any of the “portfolio” text to show up when the home page is linked. It shows when you add “/portfolio” to the web address, but it won’t show on a template page. As far as I can tell, there’s no way to add a sidebar to the homepage or widgets in any other template aside from the default.
