"other" answers to show on blog
-
I posted a poll, adding the “other” option, so that people can write their personal reply. Now, I can read in my admin site the 2 “other”answers voter give, but they don’t seem to show on the blog itself: is it possible for them to be visible to the public?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

After the poll is finished, or even now, you could add a post, perhaps even make it a sticky post and include the “other responses” in the post. If the poll is in a post or in a page, you can always put the other responses below the poll in that page or post.

My friend uses,as one of the options in the poll, “Other: I’ll tell you in the comments” which is great because it increases the comments, which increases reader engagement and pageviews.

Thank you guys, I think i’ll add the “other responses” to the comments – still, it’s a pity that they can’t automatically show. Cheers!

Yeah, it does seem like something of an oversight. The author would not need to be identified, so their would not be any privacy issues. Perhaps that is something they could add, a checkbox to have the “others” shown below the poll.

Wouldn’t it be cool if my suggestion gave way to a tiny, but world-wide improvement of a platform already as great as WP?! I’d feel so proud, like I’m really learning to think about web 2.0 apps, not just plainly using them!! Thanks WP! :-)

That could very well happen. I think it is a good suggestion and I hope they implement it.
