  Other bloggers can’t always find my site on WordPress, when I make a comment on their blogs. What have I done wrong during the original set-up?

  I note that I’m logged in as Jwuollife, but when I leave comments, my actual name; Julie, is shown. Also, my URL is different from the actual title of my blog….I know I’ve made an error somewhere, but where?

  I do not want to re-create the page from scratch, so any help would be appreciated.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  It seems odd to me that the website displayed when you point at your username, both here or on comments you’ve made elsewhere, is a non-existent one. I would think that it would show the URL of your Primary blog.

  If an incorrect Primary Blog setting is the issue, you can the setting at (dashboard) Users > Personal Settings, or at your Account Settings page (My Account).

  Here’s how to link your username to another blog registered under the same username account Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Primary Blog. Where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

  The change is not retroactive. Comments made previous to the change will remain linked as they were when submitted and approved. More here http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2007/10/06/link-your-username-to-your-blog/

  Also note that if you change your blog address the Home link will not automatically change in your custom menu. It will remain linked to the original blog. The solution is to create a custom menu and add the Home link ie. the new URL provided on the Menus page into it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
