Others accessing my wordpress site

  I have posted onto my Facebook page the URL to my latest wordpress post but friends say that wordpress is asking for them to sign in which they don’t want to do. I thought anyone could view my wordpress posts?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi drawnfromnature,

  Have you checked you blogs privacy settings?

  It sounds it might be set to private, which would prompt users to sign in to view posts.

  Thanks cobalteye. I have been trying to find the privacy setting on my site but so far no luck. In addition my site keeps crashing and I don’t know why.

  If your site is crashing, I would recommend clearing your browser cache, this often clears up such problems.

  Thanks cobalteye. I did try going to “My Site” and clicking on settings but it won’t work. What happens is the left side column is faint and the pointer is a hand rather than an arrow so I cannot pick “My settings”. Then I’m told that wordpress is not responding and there’s a box “recover webpage” lower right. I click on that, it goes away to “think” and round we go the whole cycle again. I have also cleared my browser cache. Any further thoughts?
