Otis by Automattic theme- Blog post, Paragraph only on left 50% of screen

Hi! I’m brand new to building a site and i spent HOURS after finding this theme to make my site look good (in my eyes at least haha). I went to publish my first blog and all of the body of the blog is all set on the left 50% of the screen with a large white space to the right. Yes i know i could just find a different theme to adjust this problem but i don’t want to. Also i don’t really understand why all of the site is fine except the blogs so i’m hoping i messed up.
Also no I don’t have experience with website building/coding. I took one coding class in community college and I got a C… lol.
Anyway.. please help!

It looks good as the theme design. I didn’t find anything left on 50% of the screen. Would you please re-direct us on where you are facing the issue.

Thank you your help! If you click Blog- on that page it has a blog preview titled ” Life In Greene: Empowering Communities for a Greener Future” When you go there you’ll see the blog itself is on the left side of the screen. (the website itself is fine its just the blog post that has the problem)

I have taken a look and found the issue you are facing. You’ll be glad to know that you can fix this by changing the page template. For that please follow below instructions
-> Go to your_site->Pages->All Pages.
-> From the pages list open the Blog page in editor.
-> At the editor page you will find Settings on the right top corner.
-> Click Settings->Page->Template(Page)->Edit template as shown on SCREENSHOT
-> Now click on the post and from the right setting panel you can adjust the post position using justification setting or set the width as you wish. Here is a SCREENSHOT for your ref.
You can edit the template using Site editor too. Here you will find more detailed instruction

Ok that wasn’t exactly what I needed (I needed the actual blog post changed not the landing page for my blog) but you got me most of the way there and I fixed it! for anyone who might have the same issue I just went to the blog itself and did what he said with adjusting the templates justification and width.
