OTP via SMS with the word “WordPress.com” Blocked in the Philippines

  Just a heads-up: all WordPress.com users in the Philippines using Globe Telecom will not be able to log in via OTP (One-Time Password) sent through SMS. This is because WordPress.com and any other domains are currently being blocked in SMS messages by Globe Telecom. As a result, we’re unable to receive the OTP codes. It’s important to note that this blocking isn’t specific to WordPress.com but applies to all email and domain URLs in SMS, as part of Globe’s efforts to prevent spam and phishing links in the Philippines.

  Perhaps someone can explore a workaround or alternative solution.

  We can’t help as a provider bloxk sms’es. But instead of sms, why don’t you use an authenticator app?
