Our blog is set to private, why are there 17 extra views?

  I have a blog with only one other user on it, yet the profile suggests that there have been 17 more views than either her or I have done. … ??

  WordPress.com page stats are page view stats so every click opens a page and creates a view stat. Also note that your own stats are being recorded on a private blog. More here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/
