Our credit car was charged $99 but I can find no record of it in billing history

We were charged $99 on 9/19/16 and I can find no record of it either under billing history or under ‘Why Was I Charged?’ Can you help me find out why we were charged and if that charge was correct?

That is the price of one year subscription for a premium upgrade.
Do you have another username account?Automattic Inc. https://automattic.com/ owns WordPress.com and other products like Akismet and VaultPress, etc. so this could be a charge related to one of them. It’s important to know that each charge is sent to the registered email address for each username account, so if you have more than one username account that could be confusing you. If you have a wordpress.org account and a wordpress.com account that could be confusing you.

We do have an upgraded account, but it is not due to auto renew until 10/29. Correction to my first post – the date of the transaction was 9/14/16. This date still shows nothing in “Why Was I charged” or in my billing history. I checked all three of our WordPress accounts and could find no record of any transactions there. We do not have accounts with those associated products.

I did put the charge details into that form and the form output was that there was no transaction, yet the charge is on our credit card. As I stated, we do have a premium account, but that isn’t due to be auto renewed until October 29. This charge is dated September 19. The description on the charge card bill is “web hosting and des”.

This is likely the category that your credit card company files WordPress.com as.
What is your site URL? Maybe I can help you find out where the charge came from. All WordPress.com charges can be looked up at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/.

There’s a chance it could be for one of our websites, http://www.HomeHelpNH.org, but our admin page for that site (it’s a WordPress.org site) does not have a place to go for billing information. Our other associated blog sites are all free versions so should not have a charge.
