Our personalised URL has expired and I need to re-register it?

    Hi there, we didn’t update our registration in time and have now reverted to xxxxx.wordpress.com. I need to get our URL reinstated, and have had to do this in the past so I know it can be done, just can’t find my previous contact… Thanks

    Hi there,

    What’s your custom domain name?
    If it hasn’t been for a while since domain expiring, it’s possible that you can get it back. However, once the domain is released, you are not guaranteed to register it again.

    I’ve tagged this thread for staffs. They will reach you soon and back you up. While waiting for it, please clarify your custom domain name. It helps them to assist you.

    Hi there,

    twoonewayflights.com hasn’t expired yet. It will be expired on 2018-03-17 and is still active.

    However, it’s not pointing to WordPress.com currently. So you need to map the domain to your WordPress.com site. Please follow the steps in the following URL.

    Hi Charlotte,

    twoonewayflights.com was registered through WordPress.com, but it expired and was released back into the pool of available domains. It is now registered through GoDaddy.

    If you own the domain, it can be mapped to your WordPress.com site with Domain Mapping (as hacchism suggested). Just be aware that you will need to continue to renew the domain GoDaddy aswell.
