A message we get (sometimes) when opening the site http://www.digupdeadrelatives.com is that the site is not secure … that it may be taken over for the purpose of stealing personal information. Can you help solve this problem???

    Hi there,

These forums offer support to sites created on WordPress.com. I can see your http://www.digupdeadrelatives.com is self-hosted with an external provider (Dreamhost).

As your site is not on WordPress.com, you will need to register and ask for support on the WordPress.org forums: https://wordpress.org/support/

You can find out more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Best of luck finding a solution to the security issues.

I don’t know how you are pasting in the links in your reply, but you’re including a non-breaking space entity before each one that prevents them from being automatically hyperlinked. You’ll notice it if you highlight your reply in your browser and then right click ->View Selection Source.

If you’re using a pre-prepared answer from something like a Word doc you might want to try stripping out any formatting you have there that might be invisibly adding this space.

    Hi Kokkieh,

Thanks for suggesting why these links were not functioning correctly. I had been wondering why this issue had cropped up in a few replies.

I have been using Apple Notes to record and store pre-written replies up to this point. I will start using .txt files and Sublime Text instead, to avoid this happening again.

    Matt
