Our wordpress site is locked and the owner not still living

  Sorry for my bad english, I am writing from Germany and I hope you can understand my problem. Sounds like a not funny joke, but it is really not funny and very serious…

  I do not find a way to write an email to the support, that would be nicer. I will not publish any names in detail.

  We used WordPress for our club homepage and yesterday we were being informed that our member, who has this account on WordPress, died in summer 2018. She did, of course, not tell us how to overtake the webside and we do not know what we should do now. We also do not have a backup or something like that.

  Is there any way to stop deleting the homepage until the problem is solved?

  Could you give us a tip what to do now?

  We need our email address (info@…) urgently, because we are registered on some systems /portals with this address.

  HI civica84, I’ve tagged this for staff attention. Could you perhaps just supply the domain name in question (name of the website) to establish if it is a WordPress.com or self-hosted website.

  Ah, the domain is hosted at a German telecommunication provider. Do you mean that?

  Yes that is helpful, you would have to contact the hosting provider for assistance.

  Oh no, I hoped it would have still been saved online or something like that, separated from the domain/host. Now I guess that she had the WordPress data on her private computer, but nobody has access to it. That is really annoying.
