Out with the New, In with the Old

    I have used WP for over 10 years and suddenly find I cannot search the archive for posts by specific dates – as we used to be able to in the classic editor. I need access bia dates, not titles, of which there is no extant digest.

    Hi there,

    It sounds like your account has been switched to the unified navigation, which is being rolled out on WordPress.com. You can read about this here: https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/unified-navigation/.

    You will want to turn on the Advanced Navigation in your Account Settings>Dashboard Appearance. This will enable the WP-admin view whenever possible.

    I note ur response and will try but these changes seriously affect my time and productivity on my pre-planned full-blogging day b4 long weekend.

    I too need that proper search facility PLUS need to schedule items to appear in my days offline eg over this weekend’s long holy-days.

    Moreover I’ve suggested an extremely prolific friend on Fbk with 1,000s readers in UK & USA moves over to WP so I can reblog her easily rather than copy-paste and re-format – so I now have to tell her to forget WP!

    Pls notify your top-level ‘managers’ this is my 10th year on WP and am DEEPLY disappointed at the unsatisfactory way these changes have been introduced devoid of any announcements.
