Outdated Link Documentation
-
I want to add links to the blogroll after I have included the widget on my customization page, but there is no links menu on my dashboard which all the documentation refers to.
Please walk me through the steps using the most current version of WordPress from my dashboard.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Go to http://jwbool.wordpress.com/wp-admin/link-add.phpYou can create a Blogroll in your Dashboard http://en.support.wordpress.com/blogroll/add-a-blogroll-link/ and display it by installing the Links widget. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/links-widget/
For embedding links in post and pages this is the general link model:
<a href="URL HERE">Highlighted anchor text here</a>
This is the visual result – it’s not actually linked here in the forum.
Highlighted anchor text here1. Enter the relevant descriptive anchor text you want to link to first. Note that “here” is not a good choice.
2. Then use your mouse to highlight that anchor text. (If you don’t highlight the anchor text the chain icon will remain grayed out and not be useable.)
3. Next click the chain icon in the editor and proceed to create the link.Provided you are not referring to advertising links, which are not allowed, you can copy and paste the code from the HTML editor in a draft post in a text widget.

Fixed, but I think I need a drink and a lie-down.
There is nothing when I immediately log in titled “Dashboard” so I assumed that the back-end I’m working in that has stats and administrative options is the dashboard. Why I would assume the dashboard is anything else when I see no links or mention of it is a mystery.
When I click something called WP Admin, I’m taken to a page titled Dashboard that has the links section and the same administrative options in a different layout plus additional options. Not at all intuitive, but whatever, it’s there.
Thanks to anyone who read.

Yes, that’s the one that has the option to edit links, and is labeled as the Dashboard on its own page header but not on the welcome page.
All a dashboard is is a collection of info and options, which both the welcome and the Dashboard page have.
Anyway, consider this a case closed and thanks for stopping to reply.
