Outside hosted site… can I have advertising

Forgive me if I’m not as techno-saavy as I should be. My site has its own domain name, and I pay for hosting, which I take it means I manage my own installation. Right or wrong?

Anyway, if I do, can I insert an ad into a post. Not anything I’d ever considered before, and it was an odd request that showed up in my email this evening. I don’t have that huge a number of hits (ever since “incoming links” disappeared, the number of “hits” has fallen from about a thousand a day to about 400 -500 a day… coincidence?) and have no real interest in reaching a broad market audience, the site being rather specialized and enough for me to handle.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you pay for hosting, you’re not hosted here, which means all your questions have to be directed to WordPress.ORG forums instead, sorry.

If you are talking about the site linked to your name, then you only have Domain Mapping and you are still bound by the original Terms of Service which prohibits you adding ads.
