Overlapping header image

My site is addressisnotavailable.wordpress.com and my header image is overflowing onto my home content and sidebar. I’ve tried some suggestions from forum questions but they seem to be for an older format of editing and I simply can’t find most of the settings they are indicating! Please visit the site and tell me if you know how to fix the header. I’m using a free site, Eventbrite theme, and my header is the automatic crop size.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi @addressisnotavailable, it appears the issue is that you’re not using any menu links. It’s an older, retired theme that was designed to have a menu no matter what, and because there’s nothing there, your content is moving up into that space.

You can fix this by creating a new menu, adding links (or not), then setting that new menu as primary.

    Here’s a video showing how:

  • Oh, I wanted to note another option as well: you’re welcome to change to another theme. Most newer themes don’t require widgets or menus to look nice. And, all of your content would remain as it is, just with a different layout. I hope this helps :)
