Overlapping Photos in Reader

  Hello there

  I’ve noticed that if I use any image gallery setting except thumbnail grid in a post and view the post in the Reader app on my phone, the photos in the gallery appear incorrectly by overlapping each other and the text below it so that the full content doesn’t appear. It’s very odd. If I use my phone to look at the same post by using a browser, it looks fine, and it looks fine on the computer when viewed either through WordPress Reader or a browser. The issue seems to be that image gallery settings (except the thumbnail grid) do not operate well when viewed using the WordPress Reader app on the phone. I made sure that the app on my phone is updated. Does anyone know why this is happening? I believe the problem started this year or last year December.

  Hello there,

  Many thanks for reaching out.

  There is a known issue with how the tiled gallery formats in the reader on a mobile, and this could also be related.

  Are you able to tell us which version of the app is in use when this happens please? (iOS or Android), also can you tell me if the app is also is as up to date please.

  Lastly, are you also able to provide a screenshot of the issue please?

  Thanks for getting back to me. Regarding your questions:

  I believe I am using version 16.6 on my Android phone. I updated it right before posting my initial message about 2 days ago. I haven’t been prompted to update it since then.

  I can take a screenshot of the issue, I just don’t know how to upload it to this chat. However, if you look up my blog in the Reader (Zezee with Books), I think the issue will show when you click on certain posts (weekend reads or book haul posts). I can’t think of another solution regarding the screenshot.

  I visited your site in my Reader App (on iPhone) and did not see the overlapping issue you describe. I think it will help to have screenshots of what you see so that we can better understand the issue.
