Overstrike also forces font color to red
-
I wanted to use overstrike to mark a passage in the text as outdated. That also changed the font color to red, and the regular font color change does not work, either. So…. how do I just apply overstrike, while keeping the text black?

Hi,
I checked the actual post (http://bmdesignhki.wordpress.com/2013/06/11/767-meur-7-km-1096-meurkm/) and the strikethrough doesn’t change the font on my browser (Chrome Mac). The color’s black just like the rest of the text.
So, either you already got this fixed, or perhaps it’s only happening on certain browsers. What browser did you use where this happened?

Thanks, hfzrhmn. It really seems to be fine for me, too, now. Maybe it was some glitch in the editing (probably not worth trying to repeat?). Using Safari 7 on OS X.

@bmdesignhki:
I’ve also checked your post using Firefox, IE, Chrome and Opera and the strikeout is in regular black colour.I think what you mean is that the strikeout fount is in red only in the editing mode/interface – that is normal. Once the post is output (i.e. in published form) the strikeout correctly comes out in black.
If this is not the case, then it most probably is a browser issue.

So that was a feature…?
I’m a software professional myself, and that coloring was/is very surprising. Maybe there’s something wrong with that UI if I took it as an obvious bug. Strange, non-wysiwyg behavior.
But now I know.
