overtake followers (domain stays the same)

    we repointed the domain hellopippa.com to a new self-hosted website. i installed jetpack and connected the new site to our wordpress.com account and enabled the subscriber plugin. are there further steps to do to ‘overtake’ all my blog followers and how can i see if it worked? thank you very much :)
