Overwhelmed by spam

  Hi…help sought from a relatively new user…

  My website is hit by so much spam every day, that it shuts the site down even if the comments have not been approved. I have to go through deleting 30 pages of unmoderated span comments every day to keep the site going.

  I’m sure there must be a simple solution for stopping this…anyone got any ideas for me?
